EASTER AT PARKHILL -- Pre-school students at Park Hill got into the spirit of spring recently with an egg hunt. Students also brought their Easter baskets and donned paper rabbit ears for the festivities.

Lady Leopards Win Track

The De Queen High School Girls Track team scored 148.5 points to capture the top spot in the annual Leopard Relays at De Queen. The De Queen Senior Boys scored 128.5 points to take second place behind Nashville.

 

Blackwood To Retire
After 55 years with the De Queen School District, Superintendent Bill Blackwood said he is ready to start a new chapter in his life. Blackwood, who has served as superintendent since 1981, plans to retire at the end of the school year. He will be succeeded by Bruce Hill, now assistant superintendent.
Red Men Cemetery

The City of De Queen has implemented a $25 recording fee at Red Men Cemetery in order to be able to keep burial information up to date. For details, click here.
